Going Home

I love the Lord because He has heard my prayers and supplications.  He answered when I called.  I will depend depending Him as long as I live.  Psalm 116:1-2 (CW)

Leaving the plastic waiting room chairs, plentiful hand sanitation stations and monitors behind as I prepared to head home was difficult.  My father was no closer to walking out than he was when I arrived 12 days before, but praise God, he is still fighting.  There is peaceful comfort in knowing there are believers all over lifting Willie up, in prayer, to our Heavenly Father.

There is also wonderful peace in knowing that while inhabiting a place where often healing and death sometimes takes place, God’s presence was clearly invoked.   I have new friends and ICU family and believe that was part of the plan.  Being able to pray, encourage and listen helped me to understand these things are so much larger than one family.  As I walked the halls knitting in the wee hours I was led to stop and pray outside of many doors.  We never know what power or witness may or may not have, but I know that I share the love of meeting and sharing the goodness of God with others with my Dad and that makes me smile.

Lord, I look forward to that day when all pain, sickness and death ends and we are able to swing and rejoice in life eternal!

Making His praise glorious!
