10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and [a]have it abundantly. John 10:10 (NASB)
It has been well over three months or maybe longer since I updated my Windows Phone. Imagine my joy and surprise when I was finally able to complete that long-awaited process! Things this contraption did that made no sense finally started working properly and um, now made sense. Clearly, there were critical updates and patches that needed to be downloaded in order for this highly sophisticated phone to run optimally.
Before you brand me a non-geek and start petitions to push me back to the dark flip-phone ages, let me state that previously I had tried more than once to obtain the updates, yet repeatedly I was dogged update errors and failures. So in frustration, I gave up and decided as long as it rang, played a game or two and allowed me to write this blog, that was sufficient. You see, I was willing to settle for just basic operation and not everything the Windows Phone was created to do.
I have been created and empowered by God to be even more incredible than any old phone. Yet because of crowd anxiety, doubts, the painful pulling and stretching caused by growing pains, deeply etched scars and scar tissue of heartaches and breaks, (i.e. Update and patch errors) I opted out of critical life patches and updates. Missing these updates caused me at times to accept far less than the abundance of what God had planned for me. Going into this day I thank God for the ongoing critical updates in His Word that will allow me to live life, fully and abundantly as He perfectly designed.
Making His praise glorious!
