7 and must confess the sin they have committed. They must make full restitution for the wrong they have done, add a fifth of the value to it and give it all to the person they have wronged. Numbers 5:7 (NIV)
In October, those individuals with Blackberry smartphones had their lives thrown for a no, tex, no email, communication-less
void for several days when the systems failed. Business men, women and even the President of the United States missed during that period of time. I will admit, I did not miss having my five year old Blackberry Pearl that had died and retired months earlier. Unfortunately, my husband had just received his brand spanking new Torch and was touched by the international system outage.
To make amends the company offered free apps to users in an effort to “make up” for difficulties suffered. We made certain that any and every app offered that he might want was snagged. This looked and sounded like an incredible deal, deep discounts, all were “free”. Very useful applications were his for the downloading as restitution for being isolated from the rest of the world during the communication blackout. The enemy preys on our desire to get “something for nothing”, he offers this or that and hides the consequences and costs in pretty lights, colors or behind doors we chose not to open. The price of my salvation was paid by Christ on the cross. There will be no additional bills due or hidden, gotcha costs. Skip the gimmicks, trick and apps just give me Jesus!!!
Making His praise glorious!
