Psalm 139:14 (NIV)
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
verb (used without object)
1.to think or speculate curiously: to wonder about the origin of the solar system.
2. to be filled with admiration, amazement, or awe; marvel (often followed by at ): He wondered at her composure in such a crisis.
3. to doubt: I wonder if she’ll really get here.
Today, as most days I am filled with awe when I think about all that God has done! When I look pictures of massive destruction created by fire, wind and water I am blown away. When I think about how God created the universe and all things therein from the largest mountain to the teeny tiniest critter I am struck dumb.
With extremely critical eyes I can view my own body, the ways it has changed and morphed through the years according to a plan not designed by man but by a loving, caring and compassionate God, who loves me enough to know the numbers of hairs on not only my head but every one of His children.
Like a child I am filled with marvelous, wordless awe and rivers of hope. My hope is renewed because I know that God made a covenant with Noah “11
I establish my covenant with you: Never again will all life be destroyed by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth. “ Genesis 9:11
. If I know nothing else, I know that God does not lie. His word is always good and every time I see a rainbow I feel the connection of the ages and His continuity of His covenant. Things may be rough, it may be hot, the end may not be in immediate sight, but God’s promises of protection and care are always sure, even when we doubt or question.
