Psalm 6:4 Turn, LORD, and deliver me; save me because of your unfailing love.
Watching the news the other night reminded me of our most basic reason for being here. The lead story was told about vacant homes and the string of fires that had been destroying them. Those same homes that prior to economic and family changes had fallen upon hard times, use to host hide and seek, bake sale preparations and cooking lessons. These places once filled with hope, promise and love are mere shells of their former selves. Seemingly gone are the days of neighbors looking out for one another. The neighborhood boy with the paper route and neighbor ladies sitting on the porch sharing coffee or wine. Connections, true connections must be built and fostered. As a Christian it is important to step out of my safe zone and extend my heart and open my arms to embrace those I call neighbor and desire to call brothers and sisters. Lord, I thank you for clarity of thought, a heart desiring to do Your will and for the strength to move as You command.
Making His praise glorious!
